The Samsung Family Hub 2020 Smart Fridge - Artificial Intelligence in a Fridge Freezer
Imagine a fridge that offered meal recommendations based on the ingredients you had inside

All devices are getting the AI treatment — and now, you can also get an AI-powered smart refrigerator that tells you recipes, helps you cook, and even tells you when to restock.
Samsung first released its smart fridge back in 2016 and they’ve been steadily upgrading it with voice control support, courtesy of Alexa, Bixby, and SmartThings. However, the latest Samsung Smart Fridge, to be unveiled in CES 2020, is soon to be the most advanced and intelligent smart fridge of them all since it will be integrated with image recognition.
The upcoming Samsung Family Hub 2020 will include View Inside cameras that will scan the insides of your fridge, identify food items, how much is left, and inform you when you need to restock certain items.
Do you have trouble figuring out what to prepare with your existing ingredients?
Well, the upcoming Samsung smart fridge will also be able to offer meal recommendations and recipes based on the ingredients and items you already have. The fridge will include a Family Hub software, which — in collaboration with a food startup called Whisk — will help you plan meals a week in advance and create shopping lists.
The Samsung smart fridge also includes a 22-inch display on the door that can turn transparent so you can see what’s inside the fridge without having to open it.
We’ll keep updating this article as new information about the upcoming Samsung Family Hub fridge is unveiled.
