Guide to Vacuum Types

The Tineco brand offers several types of vacuum cleaner models separated into distinct categories to satisfy all customer needs. Take a quick look at the descriptions below to see which types match your requirements.

Wet/Dry Vacuums

As the name implies, wet/dry vacuums were created not only to deal with dirt and dust, but to clean up spills as well. Wet/dry vacuums were first introduced for commercial and industrial operations. But as demand grew, portable models were introduced for home use.

Wet/dry vacuums are best for use in kitchens, though they come in handy for spills just about anywhere. These models will be clearly labeled as wet/dry as using regular vacuum cleaners on any kind of liquid may cause it to malfunction.

Wet Dry Vacuums

Smart Vacuums

Smart vacuums are a relatively new innovation to the household cleaning world and were designed to take advantage of the growing prevalence of Wi-Fi connections. Although not as independent as robotic vacuums which can perform cleaning on their own, smart vacuums offer a lot of features.

When connected to Wi-Fi and apps, smart vacuums offer up real-time performance monitoring even when cleaning. This makes it easier to see how well your vacuums are operating, and allows you to prevent any potential problems or troubleshoot existing ones. Smart vacuum monitoring also reminds you when your device needs charging so that you never run out of power in the middle of cleaning.

Smart Wet/Dry Vacuums

Smart wet/dry vacuums are a combination of the previous types. They can clean both solids and liquids efficiently and can be connected to Wi-Fi for precise monitoring. With the increasing popularity of smart home networks, connected devices can offer a lot of convenient features to their users. Smart wet/dry vacuums are no different. They are the next step in cleaning technology.

The advantages of smart wet/dry vacuums do come at a price. These vacuums are often more expensive than normal models, and that can be a bit disappointing to those on a budget. You do get what you pay for, however, and these vacuum cleaner models can be considered the most cutting-edge on the market.

Cordless Vacuums

As their name implies, cordless vacuums are portable vacuum cleaners that don’t require being plugged in to operate. These vacuums have rechargeable batteries that allow users to take them practically anywhere. When purchasing a cordless vacuum, it’s important to take note of the charging times and battery capacity of the model. The runtime of your cordless vacuum directly relates to how much cleaning you can get done on a full charge.

Cordless vacuums are useful to have around in workshops, playrooms, or areas where there are obstacles that would make handling a normal corded vacuum inconvenient. They’re also great for areas where there simply aren’t any electrical plugs to use.

The Tineco App

Several of Tineco’s vacuums are able to connect to Wi-Fi via the Tineco app. This helpful mobile application provides real-time updates and monitoring even when the vacuum is in operation. The app also provides users with handy reminders when the device needs maintenance, and if any special attention is currently required.

The app can be downloaded for Android via Tineco’s app web page, and iOS users can get it from the Apple App Store.

Tineco Brief Product Reviews

Certainly, one of the best vacuums that Tineco has to offer, the IFLOOR One S3 brings smart technology to its line of wet/dry vacuums.

Speaking of brush rollers, this device’s one touch self-cleaning mode ensures that you’ll never have to touch a dirty roller again. It’s certainly a convenient feature that will come in useful if you vacuum frequently.

Tineco’s companion app allows you to monitor your device to make sure it’s always in tip-top shape. Cleaning sticky messes and spills has been made easier thanks to the powerful IFLOOR 3, one of Tineco’s more popular wet/dry vacuum models.

With the IFLOOR 3, you can both wash and vacuum your floors at the same time. This model is able to clean multiple floor types, whether it be vinyl, wood, linoleum, marble, among others. With the IFLOOR 3’s ability to clean up both solids and liquids, you can use it practically anywhere.

The one-push auto-clean function is also present in this wet/dry vacuum model, keeping most cleaning activities relatively hands-free. Operating time may be a bit lower than most other Tineco brand models, but the efficient washing and vacuuming capabilities allow for faster cleaning.

The IFLOOR 3 doesn’t feature the app connectivity of the IFLOOR One S3, but the digital display offers up useful info during operation. Battery indicators, real-time updates, and blockage alerts are all available via the gadget’s screen.

Tineco’s introductory model to the wet/dry vacuum market, the IFLOOR still provides thorough cleaning and is a great choice for those on a budget.

The original IFLOOR offers the same washing and vacuuming capabilities as the other wet/dry vacuum models in this list. Cleaning stains and spills is simple with the IFLOOR’s ability to dry your floors immediately after a quick wash.

With the IFLOOR’s flexible and rotating brush head, even stains in corners and tight spaces can be easily accessed. With this gadget’s cordless and lightweight design, you can easily maneuver the IFLOOR to any spot you need it most.

The IFLOOR also features the one push auto cleaning brush that provides users with a relatively hands-free cleaning activity. Tough stains don’t present a problem as this device also comes with a spot mode that allows you to concentrate on areas with stubborn messes.

A bit of a downside is that, unlike the other wet/dry models, the base of the IFLOOR doesn’t charge the vacuum. Its batteries are also not as powerful, giving the IFLOOR a shorter operating time. The pricing is relatively low though, making it a great choice if you want a wet/dry vacuum on a budget.

IFLOOR

Pros:

  • Cleans solids and liquids
  • Auto clean feature
  • Relatively low price for wet/dry vacuum

Cons:

  • Base doesn’t charge vacuum

Presenting Tineco’s premier smart vacuums, the Pure One X provides users with a lightweight yet high-performance vacuum cleaner.

If convenience is what you’re looking for in a smart vacuum, then the Tineco Pure One X is hard to beat. With up to 70 minutes of operating time, a whole lot of cleaning can be done on a single charge. Complementing its lightweight design is the ability to change into a hand vac with its various attachments. When you’re done, just slide the vacuum into its wall mount to charge the device. This wall mount also holds all the attachments, eliminating clutter.

The vacuum has a relatively lower noise output when compared to the models on this list. But that may be due to the lower suction power when compared to the other smart vacuum cleaners. It also has a lower dustbin capacity, which is a bit of a downside as the longer operating time can cause it to fill up quickly.

Overall, the Tineco Pure One X is a very impressive model, and with its app connectivity, it’s one of the top smart vacuum products on the market.

Pure One X

Pros:

  • Up to 70 minutes of operating time
  • Can convert to a hand vacuum
  • Relatively quiet operation
  • App connectivity

Cons:

The previous generation of the Pure One Series, the Pure One S11, the Pure One S11 Tango, and the Pure One S11 Spartan remain some of the best smart vacuum models currently available.

Before the release of the Pure One X, the S11 series were the cutting-edge models of the Pure One line. The Pure One S12, strangely enough, preceded the product by one year. With smart dust detection coupled with smart suction adjustment, even hidden dust and dirt particles are given a deeper clean. The vacuum automatically increases power whenever it senses stubborn dirt particles via its iLoop dust sensor technology.

With the Pure One S11 series having a 0.6 Liter dustbin capacity, you can keep cleaning longer without having to frequently empty the storage. At 120W, the S11 also has more suction power when compared to the newer Pure One X, if it’s not as powerful as the previous generation.

The Pure One S11 also converts into a portable hand vacuum, but the shorter operating time of 40 minutes can be a problem. The Spartan version of the S11 also features less attachments than the Tango and the regular S11, so take note of the particular model before buying.

The wall dock is similar to the One X, featuring auto charging and a handy way to hold the various attachments.

Pure One S11 Series

Pros:

  • Larger dustbin capacity
  • Better suction power compared to One X
  • Converts to a hand vacuum

Cons:

  • Relatively shorter operating time
  • Not as powerful as previous smart vacuum model
  • S11 Spartan has lesser attachments

Price at time of writing:

The Tineco Pure One S11 is currently on sale for $279.99, a 20% discount from the regular $349.99. The Pure One S11 Spartan version is on offer for $299.99, while the Pure One S11 Tango is sold for $399.99.

Representing the best in cordless vacuum technology, the Tineco A11 series offers a great choice for users who want a straightforward cleaning tool.

The Tineco A11 operates on detachable batteries that give the vacuum up to 40 minutes of operating time per battery. The A11 Hero X model comes with two detachable battery packs, giving this version up to 80 minutes of cleaning time. This extra battery is what distinguishes the A11 Hero from the A11 Hero X. But at a $70 price difference, it’s hard to say if the extra battery is worth it.

As with all other Tineco vacuum models on this list, the A11 Series can convert into a hand vacuum relatively easily. This model comes with a lot of attachments that provide handy portability. Do note that the normal Hero version has less attachments than the Hero X and the Tango model.

The dustbin has a .60-liter capacity allowing users to go about cleaning without having to empty the bin often. The A11 comes with three power modes that you can change depending on your current needs. Modes I and II can perform normal day-to-day cleaning tasks, while the Max mode can be used for those tough cleaning jobs.

A10 Series

One of the first cordless vacuum models released by Tineco, the A10 series nevertheless remains a great choice for those who want a handy vacuum on a budget.

With three models, namely the A10 Hero, the A10 Spartan, and the A10 Tango, the line gives Tineco customers some of the more affordable choices available. Featuring a lightweight design with a strong motor, the A10 series provides deep cleaning for even the hardest-to-reach areas.

Like all Tineco vacuum models on this list, the A10 can convert into a hand vacuum, offering a portable cleaning solution practically anywhere you need it. A small downside is that its 2,000 mAh battery can operate for only about 25 minutes before requiring another recharge. This model is powered by a detachable battery, though the kit doesn’t come with extras. Therefore, you can’t extend the operating time unless you get another one.

A downside to the A10 is that it can’t connect to Wi-Fi, and doesn’t have mobile app connectivity. There’s also no LED display featuring operation information like the smart vacuums, so you’ll have to pay close attention if you don’t want the battery running out in the middle of cleaning.

At the price, the A10 is certainly something to consider if you’re on a budget but still want the best for your buck.

A10 Series

Pros:

  • Relatively cheaper
  • Converts to hand vacuum
  • Detachable batteries

Cons:

  • Relatively shorter operating time
